Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been nominated for Arsenal’s October Player of the Month and Goal of the Month prizes.
The 29-year-old was in a blistering form last month, scoring five goals and contributed an assist to jointly lead the Premier League goalscoring chart with seven goals.
The former Borussia Dortmund star scored two consecutive braces against Fulham and Leicester City, helping Unai Emery’s men to claim victory in each of the games.
Also, the attacker was on target in the Gunners’ 2-2 stalemate with Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park last weekend.
The forward’s close-range effort against Leicester has been shortlisted along Aaron Ramsey, Mesut Ozil and Granit Xhaka’s free kick for the Goal of the Month award.
The Gabon international will battle Alexandre Lacazette, Ozil and Hector Bellerin for the Player of the Month accolade.
Aubameyang has scored nine goals across all competitions this season and will look to continue the imposing form when Arsenal host Liverpool on Saturday at the Emirates Stadium.
